Like in the past years, Meris has participated at Belgrade’s Technical Fair.

Along with our long-term partners: Endress+Hauser, the producer of measuring equipment, ITT Water&Wastewater – Flygt, the producer and inventor of submersible pumps, Sanitaire – the provider of ICEAS technology for the treatment of municipal waste water and plant equipment and Jesco – dosing technique, Meris has for the first time this year presented the new partner company VAG from Germany, renowned armature producer for potable and waste water.

A large number of our long-term partners, as well as new customers have visited our stand and had an opportunity to learn more about the newest products of our principals. We are using this opportunity to honor the Fair organizer who has, by renovating Hall 1, made our and our visitors’ time exceptionally pleasant!

Certificate ISO 9001:2000 was issued by TÜV, a German body for certification. By adopting this system MERIS is acquiring a possibility to ensure the effectiveness of its business conduct, as well as to continuously improve the quality of its products and services with an aim to satisfy the customers.

Due to the increase of the business activities, Meris d.o.o. faced the need to move from the present address in Makenzijeva 46 to a new location in Belgrade. The company MERIS actively participated in the 38th International October Conference on Mining and Metallurgy in Donji Milanovac that took place from October 6th to October 8th of 2006 in "Lepenski Vir" hotel. The conference was visited by over ninety participants from Serbia and local regions (Macedonia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina) where more than fifty experts from our country and abroad have presented their professional studies.
A long term experience that companies FLYGT and MERIS have in application of submersible pumps in mining industry was presented through a cooperative study done by Mrs. Dragana Panić, B.Sc. and her colleagues.

50th annual International Technical Fair in Belgrade, which took place from 16.05. - 20.05.2006, was the unique opportunity for MERIS to present own program as well as the program of their principals.

MERIS exhibit hall has been visited by over 1000 people. Successful fair exhibit meant presenting the entire production program of MERIS's principals. Technical fair presented more than 1100 exhibitors from 42 countries and has proved as the one of the most significant ones in the region.

First annual Water Fair, organized in Montenegro (Budva, from 08.05. to 11.05.2006.) was the unique opportunity for Meris to exhibit and promote own program for waste water and drinking water treatment plants. Fair is originated as the need of Montenegro market to become acquainted with products and services of the large number of the world's manufacturers of the equipment and technologies from this field.

On this market, the large number of investments in the waste water and drinking water treatment program is expected in the near future. Water Fair has been visited by all of the significant partners and potential participants in the future projects. Organizers of this manifestation were Waterworks Budva and Budva Fair.

The Swedish company Flygt and a part of its production program, assigned for drainage in mining and creation of optimal conditions for work and production in the mines, were represented by experts, and with those who are responsible for practical and theoretical work at the seminar on water at the Technical Faculty in Bor on April 26th, 2006.

During that presentation, the complete Flygt program for industrial and wastewater treatment was presented, with specific accent on submersible wastewater pumps that have wide application in difficult, even explosive conditions as those in mines.

Dragana Panic (Meris, dipl. eng) during the presentation pointed out: "The first Flygt pump was installed in Bor way back in 1977. Hence, Flygt's wastewater pumps are long lasting, high quality and have low maintenance costs and therefore we believe they will find the adequate application in Bor in the future, as well".

A dean of the Technical Faculty, prof. Dr Zvonimir Stankovic, opened the Seminar in Bor. There were more than 30 participants who are users of the above pumps in Bor's mines, as well as representatives of Bor's Waterworks, students and the staff of the Techincal Faculty.

The 49th International Technical Fair in Belgrade, held from 9th to 13th of May, was a unique opportunity for MERIS to present the most modern technical solutions it has to offer.
There were more than 800 visitors at MERIS presentation booth. Besides a very successful fair presence where whole production program of the principals was presented, there was an exclusive presentation of an instrument for continuous measurement of viscosity in processes made by Endress+Hauser. Presentation of this device, unique at the market, generated a big interest in technical circles as well as of the potential customers. By applying this measurement instrument in various processes (for example measuring viscosity of crude oil), companies, MERIS clients, would be able to experience a great level of precision, reliability and increased productivity.

World class producer of measurement instrumentation Endress+Hauser organized a seminar for all of its customers from Serbia and Montenegro which was held from 9th to 14th of May 2005. The seminar was held in Weil am Rhein, Germany, where the headquarters of the company is located. During their visit in Germany, representatives of the customer companies had an opportunity to get familiar with a whole production program of Endress+Hauser. The special trips were organized to Cerne, France where flow meters are being made, to Maulburg, Germany where pressure and level meters are produced and to Switzerland where mass flow meters factory is located. For the period of their stay customers of Endress+Hauser instruments had a unique chance to see the production processes and the newest technologies in the field of measuring equipment.

Company MERIS presented the FLYGT programme during the Serbian-Swedish dialogue in which took active role Lars-Olof Lindgren, State Secretary for Industry and Trade, Dr Miroljub Labus, Deputy Prime Minister in the Government of Serbia and other officials from both countries.

General manager of MERIS, Zoran Dželatović, gave the presentation "Sustainable Water Solutions - the Flygt Case" during the event called "Serbian-Swedish Dialogue on Sustainable Growth" which took place in Belgrade on April 4th in Aero Club premises.

The event was also attended by the representatives from famous Swedish companies such as Ericsson, TetraPak, Ikea, and Volvo, present on our market. Among them, MERIS got the big opportunity to promote technology and innovations from the FLYGT programme, and the strategy for future development and implementation of FLYGT solutions and equipment on the market of Serbia and Montenegro. Minister of Capital Investment, Government of Serbia Mr. Velimir Ilić, Belgrade City Manager Bojan Stanojević, General director of Belgrade Waterworks and Sewerage, Vladimir Taušanović, and others were also present on the event.
